Dreams: Young Mateo wanted to be a biologist specialising in avians. It didn’t pan out, but he might still wax poetic about birds sometimes.

Hobbies:

• Mateo actually likes the mind-numbing work of looking for new spells.
• He paints abstract art in his spare time with minimalist colours (more for lack of variety of paint colours on Mars than a conscious choice, but he’s come to like it). This is more expensive than it sounds, since paint is usually not for private use on Mars – but, being a sorcerer, he can afford it.
• He likes going for walks on untampered Martian soil, i.e. with a space suit.

Appearance: Probably dark-skinned with brown eyes and black hair a bit beyond shoulder length usually bound in a ponytail, looking stockier than the relative pushover he is (but his physical strength is neither a strength nor a weakness). Maybe he has a small scar or two from an early low-tier spell he messed up.
