Tamoanchan is a large Mesoamerican country, sprawling over an area that contains most of Mexico (minus the Californian peninsula), Texas (USA), Louisiana (USA), Cuba, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, parts of Colombia and most of Venezuela.
It is the country where sorcery was originally discovered and then rediscovered. The exact time of rediscovery is vague, since Tamoanchan kept the technology to itself for a long time, but was probably around the 1880s. A thus-far only nebulously alluded event in the 1990s strongarmed the nation into making the technology better-available.
